AFTA doesn’t just do merch - we act as our own publishing house and create alternative journalism for women’s football. Since 2023, we’ve released several comics and Arsenal books, all warmly received by fans.
In May 2025, we released Lionesses Legacy a graphic novel, celebrating the Lionesses’ historic Euro 2022 victory and the players who paved the way for the next generation.
In December 2024, we launched Together, a fanzine comic following the Arsenal Women’s season with three issues, and we’re excited to be doing it again this season. This style of journalism and storytelling is groundbreaking. It’s the first of its kind, documenting women’s football in a fun, creative, and accessible way.
We believe women’s football deserves engaging, creative books that capture the game and its stories. Every purchase helps us write the next book and, in turn, supports growing the women’s game. We’re always on the lookout for people to help with future projects, and our hope is to grow AFTA into a publishing house that supports other creatives.
